K cannot avoid being trapped in a life where bureaucracy is the only reality. Since he has no understanding of what bureaucracy is, he cannot see another option. As long as we believe that this is the only possible way of living, we will get sucked down to the vortex.
In this movie walls become clear as the main character, K, walks through different perspectives. “Sometimes being in chains is safer than being free” is a quote that shows the claustrophobic perspective on life as the normal.
